ANNUAL MEETING 2009 - PORTLAND, OREGON

Every year the American Elasmobranch Society has an annual meeting where the most recent research on sharks, rays, and chimaras are presented and where scientists can network and discuss ideas. This year it was in Portland, Oregon - the same week as a brewer's festival (coincidence - I think not). The conference went well and I was able to explore the area around the Columbia Scenic Highway before I left Portland.
